About this Show
The Abbott and Costello Show was one of the most popular comedy programs of the 1940s. Originally a vaudeville act, Bud Abbott (the straight man) and Lou Costello (the comedian) brought their rapid-fire dialogue and physical comedy to radio in 1940 on NBC's Blue Network.
Their famous routines, including the legendary "Who's on First?" became cultural touchstones that remain iconic today. The show featured celebrity guest stars, musical guests, and the incomparable character voice work of Mel Blanc.
Sponsored by Camel Cigarettes during their peak years (1942-1946), the show provided crucial comic relief during World War II. The duo successfully transitioned between vaudeville, radio, film, and television, and were inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.

Reviews
Pure joy. My whole family laughs at these — they're timeless. The Who's on First routine is even funnier in its original radio context.
