About this Show
Broadway Is My Beat premiered February 27, 1949, on CBS, originating from New York with Anthony Ross as Danny Clover. When the show moved to Hollywood in July 1949, Larry Thor took over the role. The Hollywood production team included producer/director Elliott Lewis (who also produced Suspense) and writers Morton Fine and David Friedkin. The jazz score by Robert Stringer was one of the most distinctive musical identities in radio. The series ran through August 1, 1954, accumulating over 200 episodes.
