About this Show
Rose Franken's Claudia stories first appeared in Redbook Magazine in the late 1930s, spawned a Broadway play in 1941, and moved to radio the same year. The CBS radio series starred various actresses over its run, with Dorothy McGuire reprising her Broadway role in the earliest productions. The show ran through 1952 and was known for its sophisticated approach to a young woman's emotional development — dealing with themes of immaturity, marriage, loss, and growth that were handled with unusual sensitivity for American broadcasting.
