About this Show
Hop Harrigan was created for All American Comics and adapted for radio beginning August 31, 1942 on ABC. Chester Stratton initially played Harrigan before Albert Aley took over the role. Jackson Beck played Tank Tinker in the later years. General Foods became a sponsor in October 1944. The series tracked the war closely — when America was fighting, Hop was fighting. The program moved to Mutual in October 1946 and continued until February 1948.
