About this Show
Red Ryder debuted February 3, 1942, on the NBC Blue Network, based on the popular Fred Harman comic strip. Reed Hadley voiced the title role from 1942 to 1944, followed by Carlton KaDell (1945) and Brooke Temple (1946–1951). Arthur Q. Bryan — the voice of Elmer Fudd in Looney Tunes — played Ryder's comic ranch hand 'Buckskin.' The show ended in 1951 as television began drawing young audiences away from radio adventure serials.
