About this Show
Escape premiered July 7, 1947, on CBS. Unlike Suspense, it rarely had a steady sponsor and was shuffled in time slot eighteen times across its seven-year run. The show drew the same Los Angeles radio talent as Suspense: William Conrad, Hans Conried, John Dehner, Georgia Ellis, and Jack Webb. The scripts adapted 'The Most Dangerous Game,' 'Three Skeleton Key' (produced three times with different casts, including Vincent Price), 'Earth Abides,' and F. Scott Fitzgerald's 'The Diamond as Big as the Ritz.' Escape ended September 25, 1954, leaving behind approximately 230 surviving episodes — one of the best-preserved collections in all of OTR.
