Natalie Masters (born Natalie Parks) starred in Candy Matson YUkon 2-8209, a detective drama on NBC West Coast from June 29 1949 to May 20 1951. Her husband Monty Masters created the show as a vehicle for himself until his mother-in-law suggested he rewrite it for a woman. He cast his wife in the title role. Despite being San Franciscos most popular radio show and frequently the top-rated West Coast program, Candy Matson never attracted a national sponsor. Only 14 of 93 produced episodes survive in audio form.
