Biography
Raymond William Stacy Burr was born May 21, 1917 in New Westminster, British Columbia. One of the busiest character actors in CBS Radio dramas. In the 1956 CBS Western Fort Laramie he played Captain Lee Quince -- John Dehner had played the role in the audition but was too busy. Two-thirds through Fort Laramie, Burr was cast as Perry Mason for TV. He also appeared in early Dragnet episodes. He died September 12, 1993 of renal cell carcinoma.
