Dimension X debuted April 8, 1950, on NBC, running until September 29, 1951 — 50 episodes across 18 months. The historic switch to tape recording (beginning with episode 14) was driven by practical necessity — live science fiction drama was extraordinarily difficult to produce — but it accidentally pioneered a technique that would transform all radio production within a decade. All 50 Dimension X episodes survive.
