About this Show
Have Gun – Will Travel debuted on CBS Television on September 14, 1957, with Richard Boone in the lead role. The radio version premiered November 23, 1958, with John Dehner replacing Boone as Paladin. The 106-episode radio run produced both adaptations of television scripts and original stories. Writers Richard Matheson and Charles Beaumont contributed episodes while simultaneously writing for The Twilight Zone. The radio series concluded November 27, 1960, with a finale in which Paladin inherits a fortune and moves back East — an original ending created specifically for the radio audience.
