About this Show
The Clock aired on ABC and later NBC from 1946 to 1948. Each episode was introduced with the sound of a ticking clock, and stories typically built toward grim or ironic conclusions. The show attracted strong writing talent and featured the kind of dark material that defined late 1940s radio drama. While it never achieved the iconic status of Suspense, The Clock developed a loyal audience for its consistent quality and willingness to go to dark places.
